Dumai, Riau: Coastal City of Trade, Nature, and Culture

Introduction

Dumai is a port city located on the eastern coast of Sumatra, within Riau Province, Indonesia. Once a small fishing village, Dumai officially gained city status in 1999 under Law No. 16/1999. Today, Dumai is known for its role as an economic hub, particularly in petroleum, palm oil, and maritime trade.
