Superheater Tube and Issues

Superheater meningkatkan:

  • Kecekapan turbin atau proses.
  • Kandungan tenaga (enthalpy) steam.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 2. Kawasan Kritikal Superheater

⚠️ 3. Jenis Kegagalan Utama Superheater Tube

Jenis Kegagalan Penerangan Tanda-tanda visual / ciri
Overheating / Creep Failure Terjadi bila suhu logam melebihi had reka bentuk untuk tempoh lama. Logam melembut dan mengalami deformasi (creep). Tiub menggelembung, menipis, rekahan membujur, warna biru-hitam.
Penipisan dinding (erosion marks), kadang tembus.
Oxidation / External Scaling Suhu tinggi menyebabkan pembentukan lapisan oksida tebal → rintangan haba meningkat → overheating setempat. Permukaan kasar, berskala tebal, warna gelap.
Steam Flow Restriction / Blockage Deposit (scale) di dalam tiub halang aliran stim → tiub kehilangan penyejukan. Kerosakan tempatan (localized overheating).

4. Punca Akar Umum (Root Causes)

A. Operasi

  • Start-up & shutdown terlalu kerap atau terlalu cepat (rapid temperature change).
  • Kawalan suhu stim tidak stabil (fluktuasi >20°C).
  • Beban tidak seimbang antara panel superheater.

B. Reka Bentuk

  • Radius bend terlalu kecil → stress concentration.
  • Sokongan tiub tidak fleksibel (menghalang expansion).
  • Aliran gas tidak sekata → sesetengah tiub terlalu panas.

C. Kualiti Air / Steam

  • Scale menghalang penyejukan dalaman → overheating tempatan.

D. Bahan & Kimpalan

  • Prosedur kimpalan tidak mengikut ASME IX.
  • Filler material tak padan dengan base metal.
  • Tiada post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) → residual stress tinggi.

E. Persekitaran / Bahan Api

๐Ÿงช 5. Kaedah Diagnostik (Failure Analysis Steps)

  1. Pemeriksaan visual (Visual & NDT):

    • PT/MT untuk retak.
    • UT untuk ketebalan.
    • RT untuk sambungan kimpalan.
  2. Analisis metalurgi:

    • Potong sampel dan lihat struktur mikro (grain elongation, creep voids, fatigue pattern).
  3. Fractography (SEM):

    • Kenal pasti jenis retak (fatigue striations vs brittle fracture).
  4. Analisis kimia kerak/deposit:

    • Tentukan punca blockage / overheating.
  5. Semak data operasi:

    • Suhu superheater inlet/outlet.
    • Fluktuasi beban & tekanan.
    • Trend start/stop.

๐Ÿงฐ 6. Pencegahan & Kawalan

๐Ÿ”ธ Operasi

  • Panaskan (start-up) boiler secara berperingkat (gradual heating rate).
  • Elakkan perubahan beban mendadak.
  • Kawal suhu superheater dengan sistem spray attemperator.

๐Ÿ”ธ Penyelenggaraan

  • Chemical cleaning berkala untuk elak scale.
  • Laksanakan NDT periodik (terutama di bend & header weld).
  • Simpan rekod suhu & tekanan secara automatik (trend analysis).

๐Ÿ”ธ Reka Bentuk / Kejuruteraan

๐Ÿ”ธ Kimpalan

  • Gunakan welder bertauliah, WPS & PQR disahkan.
  • Laksanakan preheat & PWHT untuk melegakan tegasan baki.
  • Semak alignment antara tiub dan header.

๐Ÿ’ก 7. Tanda Awal (Early Warning Symptoms)

  • Peningkatan suhu superheater outlet (tanpa sebab jelas).
  • Perubahan warna luaran tiub (biru gelap → overheating).
  • Steam temperature spike dalam data trend.
  • Kebocoran kecil (whistle sound / white plume).
  • Penurunan tekanan stim atau water carryover.

๐Ÿงพ 8.

  • Thermal cycling berulang,
  • Kawalan suhu tidak sekata,
  • Kualiti air & penyelenggaraan tidak konsisten.

Langkah pencegahan utama:

  • Stabilkan operasi (minimalkan cycling),

Possible root cause for the boiler superheater tubes failure

๐Ÿ” 1. Observation Summary

  • Boiler type: Water tube boiler

  • Operating pressure: 32 bar

  • Failure location: Superheater tube

    • At weld joint to header

    • At bend section of superheater tube

  • Leak nature: Crack/leak

⚙️ 2. Possible Root Causes

A. Thermal Fatigue / Thermal Stress Cracking

Most common cause at weld joints and bends.

Mechanism:

  • Frequent start-stop cycles, load fluctuations, or poor control of superheater steam temperature cause expansion and contraction of tubes.

  • At bend and weld areas, stress concentration is higher.

  • Over time, micro-cracks form due to repeated thermal cycling → grow into visible cracks → leakage.

Signs:

  • Fine cracks at the heat-affected zone (HAZ) near weld.

  • No heavy corrosion inside/outside.

  • Failure usually along tube circumference at bend radius.

Contributing factors:

  • Inadequate flexibility in tube support/hanger system.

  • Uneven heat distribution due to poor gas flow design.

  • Sudden steam load changes.

B. Overheating due to Steam Flow Restriction

Second most common cause in superheaters.

Mechanism:

  • Partial choking/blockage of tube (by scale, oil, or magnetite).

  • Steam flow reduced → poor internal cooling.

  • Metal temperature rises above design (e.g. >540°C).

  • Tube softens → creep or rupture, especially at bends and welds.

Indicators:

  • Tube surface oxidized, bulged, or deformed.

  • Discoloration (blue, dull grey) shows overheating.

  • Localized crack near hottest region (bend).

C. Poor Welding Quality / Residual Stress

Welding-related failure at header joint.

Mechanism:

  • Improper welding (lack of fusion, undercut, wrong filler material, inadequate PWHT).

  • High residual stress trapped in HAZ.

  • Crack initiates during service when combined with pressure + temperature cycles.

Clues:

  • Crack starts exactly at weld toe or fusion line.

  • Metallurgical exam shows brittle fracture or grain boundary oxidation.

D. Corrosion-Fatigue / Oxidation at Bend

When external environment or flue gas is aggressive.

Mechanism:

  • External oxidation due to flue gas + high metal temp.

  • Scale forms → reduces heat transfer → overheating.

  • Vibration or pulsation adds fatigue → crack grows.

Typical in:

  • Units burning high-sulphur fuel or with poor combustion air distribution.

E. Creep Failure (Long-Term Overtemperature)

If boiler runs continuously at high temperature for long hours.

Mechanism:

  • Prolonged metal exposure to high temperature causes grain elongation.

  • Tube wall thins, bulges, then cracks.

  • Found mostly near bend or outlet header (hottest zones).

Indications:

  • Bulged tube with longitudinal crack.

  • Creep voids under microscope.

๐Ÿงฉ 3. Most Probable Root Cause Combination

For your case (superheater at 32 bar, crack at header weld & bend):

Primary root cause: Thermal fatigue and localized overheating.
Contributing factors:

  • Uneven steam flow / temperature distribution.

  • Possible poor weld quality or residual stress.

  • Inadequate stress relieving during fabrication or repair.

  • Rapid temperature cycling during startup/shutdown.

๐Ÿงฐ 4. Recommendations / Preventive Actions

✅ Inspection & Metallurgical Analysis

  • Perform metallographic examination (microstructure, hardness, grain growth).

  • Use replica or SEM test to confirm thermal fatigue or creep pattern.

✅ Boiler Operation

  • Avoid sudden steam load changes.

  • Maintain steady firing rate during startup/shutdown.

  • Ensure proper superheater drain during startup to prevent water carryover.

✅ Design & Maintenance

  • Verify tube support alignment to reduce vibration.

  • Ensure adequate expansion gaps in tube bank.

  • Regular NDT (UT/MT/PT) at header weld joints.

  • Check for steam flow balancing and internal cleanliness (no scale build-up).

✅ Repair

  • Cut out and replace cracked section.

  • Apply proper preheat and post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).

  • Use compatible filler metal and qualified welding procedure (ASME IX).

  • Chemical Analysis: Jika terdapat pengoksidaan / deposit, analisis komposisi kerak/scale.

  • Flow/Temperature Logs: Semak rekod suhu superheater, perbezaan tekanan, dan catatan operasi pada waktu kejadian.

5. Analisis Punca (Fishbone + 5 Whys singkat)

Faktor-faktor berpotensi

  • Persekitaran: Pembakaran bahan api berkandungan sulfur/korosif → oksidasi tempatan.

5 Whys (contoh ringkas)

  1. Kenapa tiub retak? — Kerana berlaku keletihan / keletihan terma / pemanasan tempatan yang berulang.

  2. Kenapa berlaku pemanasan tempatan?

  5. Kenapa kawalan kimpalan/rekabentuk tidak memadai? — Prosedur pembaikan/awal tidak mengikut spesifikasi (contoh: tiada PWHT, filler salah).

6. Punca Akar (Root Causes) — Disyorkan

Berdasarkan bukti awal, punca akar kemungkinan campuran faktor berikut (peringkat keutamaan):

  4. Hentikan kitaran operasi yang kerap sehingga punca ditentukan.

  5. Sediakan skop pembaikan sementara (gasket, clamp atau patch) hanya jika selamat dan mengikut prosedur; elakkan pembaikan sementara yang memberi risiko berulang.

8. Cadangan Pembetulan & Pencegahan (Corrective & Preventive Actions)

A. Pembetulan (Corrective)

  4. Bersihkan sistem dalaman (descaling / chemical cleaning) untuk memulihkan pengaliran stim jika penyumbatan dikesan.

B. Pencegahan (Preventive)

  1. Prosedur Operasi: Kaji semula SOP start-up/shutdown untuk kurangkan thermal cycling; perkenalkan pengawalan kenaikan suhu bertahap.

  2. Pemantauan & Inspection: Jadual NDT berkala (MT/PT setiap 6–12 bulan; UT untuk ketebalan setiap 12 bulan bergantung pada keadaan).

9. Pelan Pelaksanaan & Tanggungjawab

  • Pasukan Penyelenggaraan: Laksanakan NDT, pembaikan dan penggantian tiub.

  • Jurutera Proses: Semak kawalan operasi, log suhu, dan cadangan reka bentuk.

  • Jurutera Material / QA: Urus analisis metallographic, hardness, dan semakan prosedur kimpalan.

  • Pengurusan Loji: Pastikan sumber, shutdown terancang dan pematuhan prosedur keselamatan.

10. Pemantauan Selepas Pembetulan

  • Jalankan ujian beban bertahap selepas pembaikan.

  • Pantau suhu superheater dan pembolehubah aliran selama 30 hari operasi normal.

  • Buat NDT susulan selepas 3–6 bulan.

11. Ringkasan

Why Every Engineering Student Should Experience a Palm Oil Mill Internship

Many university students imagine engineering as blueprints, equations, and computer simulations.

But real engineering begins when you step into the field, hear the machines roar, and solve problems that can’t be found in any textbook.

One of the best places to experience this reality?
๐Ÿ‘‰ A palm oil mill.

⚙️ 1. Real-World Engineering, Not Just Theory

In a palm oil mill, everything you learned in class comes alive.
You’ll see fluid mechanics in oil flow systems, thermodynamics in steam generation, and heat transfer in sterilizers and clarifiers.

You’ll understand how boilers, turbines, pumps, conveyors, and centrifuges all connect to make one complex process run smoothly.
It’s not just learning — it’s living engineering.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 2. Exposure to Energy and Power Systems

Palm oil mills operate with high-pressure steam systems to power turbines and equipment.
Interns learn:

  • Boiler operation and efficiency control
  • Steam turbine basics
  • Pressure and temperature monitoring
  • Heat recovery and energy balance

This kind of exposure is rare for students — yet it’s what builds a strong technical foundation for mechanical or chemical engineers.

๐Ÿงช 3. Process Engineering and Chemical Insight

The mill process involves both mechanical and chemical transformations — from sterilization to oil purification.
Interns can explore:

  • Oil-water separation and centrifugation
  • Effluent treatment systems
  • Quality control and laboratory analysis
  • Chemical usage in clarification and water treatment

You’ll finally see how raw theory turns into industrial application.

๐Ÿงฐ 4. Maintenance and Problem-Solving Skills

When a pump fails or a pressure line leaks, engineers must act fast.
Interns will witness (and sometimes assist in) troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair planning.
This experience teaches diagnostic thinking — a skill no classroom can replace.

๐ŸŒ 5. Sustainability and Green Innovation

Modern palm oil mills are no longer just factories — they’re models of renewable energy and circular economy.
Interns can learn how:

  • Biogas is captured from effluent ponds
  • Biomass from empty fruit bunches fuels the boilers
  • Zero-waste concepts drive the entire process

This gives students a real understanding of how engineering supports environmental sustainability.

๐Ÿ‘ท‍♀️ 6. Leadership, Communication & Teamwork

Engineering is also about people.
In the mill, students work alongside technicians, operators, safety officers, and managers.
They learn how to:

  • Communicate technical ideas clearly
  • Collaborate under pressure
  • Respect every level of the workforce

These soft skills turn a graduate into a professional engineer.

๐Ÿงญ 7. Clarity for Future Career Paths

An internship helps students discover their real interest — maintenance, process, design, safety, or sustainability.
It also builds confidence and discipline, showing what it truly means to be an engineer who adds value to society.

✨ In the End

“A palm oil mill isn’t just an industrial site — it’s an open classroom of real engineering.”

Every student who completes an internship there comes out more mature, capable, and grounded in purpose.
They don’t just learn how machines work — they learn how industries live.

๐ŸŒฟ Hana: Lessons from the Heart of the Palm

When Hana received her internship placement letter, she stared at it for a long minute.

“Palm oil mill… in Sabah?”

Her classmates were heading to city-based industries — factories with air-conditioned offices, cafรฉs nearby, and shopping malls for weekend hangouts.
But Hana’s destination was different — a remote mill surrounded by endless rows of palm trees and the steady hiss of steam from the boiler house.

She hesitated for a moment.
But deep inside, she whispered,

“Maybe this is where real engineers are made.”

๐Ÿšœ First Impressions: Engineering in Real Life

The first week was overwhelming.
The heat, the noise, the heavy machinery — everything felt alive.
Hana quickly realized this was no classroom exercise.

Every pipe carried pressure, every valve mattered, and every minute of downtime meant losses.
Her mentor, Encik Azman, a senior mill engineer, smiled and said:

“Here, you’ll learn the kind of engineering you can’t Google.”

He was right.
Hana learned to read pressure gauges, trace steam lines, and understand the rhythm of the mill — sterilizer to digester, screw press to clarification tank.
Every system was a story of energy, transformation, and precision.

๐Ÿ”ง When Machines Stop, Engineers Start Thinking

One afternoon, the sterilizer tripped — a pressure problem.
Hana followed her mentor to the control room, then to the boiler house.
Steam hissed, alarms blinked, and the crew moved fast.

Azman asked her calmly,

“So, Hana, where do you think the problem starts?”

Her heart raced — but this was the moment to apply what she’d learned in thermodynamics.
She traced the system mentally, step by step… until she pointed at the condensate return line.
Azman checked — she was right.

That day, Hana felt something click inside her.
Engineering wasn’t just theory anymore.
It was logic in motion, powered by teamwork and courage.

๐Ÿงช Beyond Machines: The Process of Understanding

As weeks passed, Hana explored every corner of the mill.
She joined the chemical lab team, testing Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and DOBI values.
She observed the clarification process, learned about oil-water separation, and visited the effluent treatment plant where biogas was captured and reused.

Her notes were filled with formulas, sketches, and reflections:

“The mill is a living system. Every drop of oil tells a story of balance — between process, pressure, and people.”

๐ŸŒ Sustainability in Action

What surprised Hana most wasn’t the machines — it was the philosophy.
Nothing went to waste.
Fiber and shell became fuel for the boiler.
Effluent became biogas for electricity.
Ash from the boiler became fertilizer for the plantation.

She realized she wasn’t just learning engineering — she was witnessing sustainability in action.
It was about designing systems that respected both profit and planet.

๐Ÿ‘ท‍♀️ People, Not Just Process

Hana also learned the heart of engineering lies not only in machines, but in people.
She worked with technicians who had decades of hands-on wisdom, and operators who could sense a fault by just listening to a motor’s hum.

They taught her lessons that no textbook ever mentioned:

  • “Always listen before you fix.”
  • “Respect the system, and it will respect you.”
  • “Safety is not a checklist — it’s a mindset.”

By the final month, Hana wasn’t the shy intern who arrived from the city.
She was a confident problem-solver, trusted by her team to handle field checks and small maintenance tasks.

✨ The Lesson Hana Took Home

On her last day, Azman said,

“Now you know, Hana — engineering isn’t about the place. It’s about the purpose.”

She looked at the mill one last time — the rising steam, the workers, the hum of machinery blending with nature’s silence.
It was beautiful, in its own industrial way.

As her vehicle left the mill, Hana smiled.
She came here as a student.
But she was leaving as an engineer — not because of what she learned,
but because of what she became.

๐ŸŒด Moral of the Story

“Sometimes the best classrooms aren’t in universities — they’re hidden between palm trees, steam lines, and the people who make things work.”

๐ŸŒฟ Azman: The Engineer Who Found His Purpose in the Middle of the Palm Oil Mill

When Azman first stepped off the 4WD that brought him deep into the interior of Sabah, he felt like he had reached the edge of the world.
No shopping malls, no coffee cafรฉs, no traffic jams — just rows and rows of palm trees stretching to the horizon, the smell of fresh fruit bunches, and the hum of the mill’s steam turbine.

He was only 25 then — a fresh mechanical engineering graduate from a local university — sent to his first posting as a junior engineer at a palm oil mill located five hours from the nearest town.
His friends in the city laughed:

> “Bro, you’ll get bored to death there. No nightlife, no fun.”
But Azman had a different idea of what “fun” meant.

๐Ÿ”ง The Early Days: Learning from the Ground Up

The first few months were brutal.
He worked 12-hour shifts under the hot Borneo sun, learning everything from boiler operation to centrifuge maintenance. The mill never slept, and neither did its engineers.

Azman realized quickly that being an engineer here was not about sitting behind a computer screen.
It meant getting your hands dirty, crawling under conveyors, checking pressure gauges, and troubleshooting pumps at 2 a.m. during breakdowns.

One night, the boiler tripped unexpectedly.
The whole mill came to a halt.
While others panicked, Azman climbed up the hot staircase, flashlight in hand, tracing every valve and steam line. After hours of sweat and soot, he found the culprit — a blocked feedwater line.
He fixed it with his team before dawn.

That night, he earned more than a pat on the back — he earned respect.

⚙️ Growth Beyond the Machines

Over the years, Azman mastered not just the mechanical systems but also leadership and resilience.
He learned how to manage technicians who had worked longer than he’d been alive, how to motivate his team during the crushing weight of harvest season, and how to speak the language of both the workers and the management.

His curiosity led him to start small improvement projects — optimizing the screw press motor, redesigning the fiber conveyor system, and introducing a preventive maintenance checklist that reduced downtime by 30%.

But what made Azman different was not his technical skills.
It was his sense of purpose.
He understood that every drop of oil extracted, every kilowatt saved, and every emission reduced meant something bigger — it meant sustainability, jobs, and growth for rural Malaysia.

๐ŸŒฑ Finding Meaning in the Middle of Nowhere

Living in the remote area changed him.
He learned to appreciate simple things:
Morning mist rising over the palm fields.
Evening laughter with his technicians after a long day.
The pride of seeing trucks rolling out with golden palm oil — the result of their teamwork.

During weekends, he volunteered to teach local youths about basic engineering and safety.
Some of them, inspired by him, later joined technical colleges — dreaming to become engineers too.

That’s when Azman realized:

> “Maybe my role here isn’t just to keep the mill running. Maybe it’s to keep hope running.”

๐Ÿ† The Reward Beyond Salary

After ten years, Azman became the Mill Engineer — responsible for operations, safety, and sustainability compliance.
He earned his Steam Engineer Certificate, and later, his Professional Engineer (Ir.) title.

Yet, when people asked why he stayed so long in a remote area, he smiled and said:

> “Because out here, I found what engineering really means — service, not status.”

For Azman, the palm oil mill was more than a workplace.
It was his classroom, his testing ground, and his compass.
It taught him grit, leadership, and gratitude — lessons no city job could ever offer.

๐ŸŒค️ Epilogue: The Journey Continues

Years later, as he stood on a hill overlooking the mill he helped modernize, Azman whispered to himself:

> “I came here as a young engineer looking for a job.
But I’m leaving as a man who found his purpose.”

Storytelling: Hana’s Implementation of PTW at Her Palm Oil Mill

1. Permit to Work (PTW) System – Explanation

A Permit to Work (PTW) is a formal written system used to control certain types of hazardous work to ensure that risks are assessed and controls are in place before the job starts. It is an important component of a Safe System of Work (SSOW).

Key features of PTW:

  • Authorization: Only competent and authorized persons can issue and receive permits.

  • Hazard identification: Each activity is assessed for potential hazards (fire, explosion, falls, toxic gas, etc.).

  • Control measures: Specifies PPE, isolation, ventilation, fire watch, scaffolding, barricades, etc.

  • Communication: All parties (supervisors, workers, contractors) are aware of conditions and restrictions.

  • Duration: Permit is valid only for a specified time and task.

  • Handover & closure: Work must be signed off as completed or suspended safely.

Types of PTW at palm oil mill (examples):

  • Confined Space Entry Permit – For work inside tanks, silos, vessels, manholes. Requires gas testing, standby man, rescue plan.

  • Work at Height Permit – For work above 2 meters. Requires scaffolding, harness, fall protection plan.

  • Hot Work Permit – For welding, cutting, grinding. Requires fire extinguisher, fire watch, isolation of flammable materials.

  • Lifting Operation Permit – For crane, hoist, or forklift lifting. Requires lifting plan, certified riggers, inspection of equipment.

2. Storytelling: Hana’s Implementation of PTW at Her Palm Oil Mill

Hana had recently been promoted as the Safety Manager at a palm oil mill. She knew the mill operations involved high-risk activities every day — from welding boiler pipes, to workers cleaning inside sludge tanks, to crane lifting of heavy spare parts.

One day, during her safety audit, she noticed workers preparing to enter a sludge tank without any gas testing or standby person. That moment convinced her: the mill must strictly implement a Permit to Work (PTW) system.

Step 1: Awareness & Training

Hana gathered all supervisors, engineers, and contractors.
She explained:

“A PTW is not just paperwork. It is our guarantee that everyone goes home safely every day. No permit, no work.”

She conducted training on different types of permits — confined space, work at height, hot work, and lifting. Everyone learned how to recognize hazards, request a permit, and follow controls.

Step 2: Confined Space Entry

When workers had to clean inside the crude oil storage tank, Hana enforced:

  • Gas test before entry (O₂ above 19.5%, no toxic gases).

  • Ventilation fan installed.

  • Standby man with radio communication.

  • Rescue tripod with harness ready.
She signed the Confined Space Entry Permit only after all measures were in place.

Step 3: Work at Height

During turbine repair, a team needed to work 6 meters above ground. Hana ensured:

  • Proper scaffolding erected by certified scaffolders.

  • Workers wore full body harness tied to lifelines.

  • Tools secured with lanyards to prevent dropping.
With these measures, she issued the Work at Height Permit.

Step 4: Hot Work

The maintenance crew had to weld a leaking pipeline near the kernel silo. Hana required:

  • Fire extinguisher and water hose ready.

  • Fire watch stationed throughout the job.

  • Area cleared of oil-soaked rags and dust.
Only then, she authorized the Hot Work Permit.

Step 5: Lifting Operations

For lifting a heavy gearbox with a mobile crane, Hana checked:

  • The lifting plan and crane inspection certificate.

  • Riggers and signalmen with valid training.

  • Exclusion zone marked with barricade tape.
She approved the Lifting Operation Permit once everything complied.

Step 6: Continuous Monitoring

Hana didn’t just sign permits and walk away. She regularly inspected work sites, suspended permits when conditions became unsafe (e.g., sudden rain during lifting), and motivated her team to treat safety as part of the job, not a burden.

Step 7: Culture of Safety

Over time, workers understood that PTW was not about slowing work, but about saving lives. Accidents dropped, audits improved, and contractors respected the mill for its professional safety standards.

Hana’s firm belief became the mill’s motto:
“Work safely or don’t work at all.”

Seiring masa, rekod konsistensi Hana mula diperhatikan. Seorang pengurus kanan pernah berkata kepadanya,

“Awak bukan jenis yang banyak bercakap, tapi laporan awak selalu tepat. Itu membuat kami yakin untuk beri awak lebih tanggungjawab.”

Dari situ, Hana diberi peluang menyelia projek penyelenggaraan boiler, kemudian mengetuai pasukan kecil dalam operasi ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant). Tekanan kerja makin berat, tetapi dia tetap konsisten — menganggap setiap tugasan sebagai modal pelaburan reputasi untuk masa depan.

Beberapa tahun berlalu, Hana bukan lagi kadet. Beliau kini duduk di kerusi pengurus kilang sawit, mengetuai ratusan pekerja. Apa yang membezakan Hana dengan yang lain? Bukan hanya kemahiran teknikal, tetapi reputasi integriti dan kerja konsisten yang dibina sejak hari pertama.

Seperti kata Jeff Bezos: “Your brand is what other people say about you when you're not in the room.”[1]
