Revocation of Acceptance

As explained earlier, when the acceptor posts his letter of acceptance, he is not bound to perform his obligation until his letter of acceptance is received by the proposer.

This means the acceptor may still withdraw his acceptance. According to Section 5(2), Contracts Act 1950, „an acceptance may be revoked at any time before the communication of the acceptance is complete as against the acceptor, but not afterwards.
